Pet Food and Aquatic Fish Feed Production Line

The pet food production line uses high-expansion corn flour grains as the basic raw material, supplemented by bone meal, meat, protein, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients, and cooperates with a screw extruder to produce pet dog food of different shapes through strong extrusion and instantaneous expansion molding. Cat food and other food pellets, and also produce aquatic feed floating feed, mackerel feed pellets, goldfish feed pellets, shrimp feed pellets, crab, mud, bullfrog and other feeds and foods. How is pet food produced?
Typical raw materials used in pet food processing include grain flour, vegetable protein, minerals and vitamins, and in some cases, meat or fish meal and fresh meat. The dry material enters the pre-conditioner + and is steam hydrated. The mixer mixes the ingredients and ensures that the steam, moisture and ingredients are properly mixed. The pretreatment produces partial gelatinization of the starch and texture of the polymer. Then the partially cooked mixture is sent to the double-screw extruder, and the shear, internal temperature, pressure, moisture and residence time are precisely controlled to achieve the best starch gelatinization without losing food quality. In different processing stages, liquid or steam can be injected through ports in the extruder barrel. An exhaust filler can be used for degassing at this stage.

The mixing process is a key process in pet food production. The basic process is to weigh the raw materials of different weights according to the formula, then pour them into the crusher and smash them, and then temporarily store all the materials in the storage bin. Then all the ingredients are ready, put them in the blender and mix them.
Extrusion is a high temperature and short time heat treatment process. It can not only reduce the degradation of food nutrients, improve the digestibility of protein and starch, but also destroy anti-nutrients and microorganisms. Can produce round, triangle, flower shape, bone shape and other shapes of dry pet food through different molds (templates) of the feed extruder. In pet food production, fat is usually added to improve the palatability of pet food, which is carried out during the conditioning process. In addition, in order to make pet food tablets have different colors, manufacturers usually add pigment water in the extrusion chamber.
The drying part is mainly used to remove moisture from the extruded pet food. The extruded material has a soft texture and a water content of 20-30%. After drying, the moisture of the finished product is controlled at 8%~10%, which can ensure the storage of the material within a certain period of time.
Oil is the best source of energy, so 2%-40% of oil can be added to the formula according to the growth needs of the pet. We recommend that the fat content in the formula, that is, the total oil content in the extruder should be kept within 12%. If the oil content is required to exceed 12%, the hardness of the pellets will be significantly reduced. If the extruded material needs to contain more than 12% oil, it is recommended to add additional oil after drying. It can be used under normal pressure or vacuum spraying, depending on the amount of oil added. The external spray will make the appearance of the pet food flakes more attractive. In addition to oil, some powdery attractants are also sprayed to increase the palatability of pet feed.
The main purpose of the cooling section is to cool the dried material from high temperature to close to room temperature and take away part of the moisture. In addition, during this process, unqualified food tablets will be separated from eligible foods.

Raw Material

Material mixing plays a key role in feed processing. More mixing cycles within a fixed time period can be achieved by using the intermittent mixer designed with clamping capacity and intelligent pulp page, which makes the mixing time reduce to just 90 seconds. Optional and precise liquid adding equipment enables uniform distribution of ingredients for the mixing of recipes.
Our extruders are configured according to the specific characteristics of your raw material recipe and the requirements of the final product. During the extrusion process, your solid material is mixed and fed through the twin-screw movement to different pressure areas, heated, cooked, bleached and shaped through the heating cylinder, and cut through the fixed mold for granulation.
In a continuous conveying process using high temperature air and precise control, the incoming particles are preheated and expanded and spread out evenly at the appropriate bulk density. Evenly heating can make the product have high expansion rate and crisp taste. Hot air circulation can reduce costs by increasing energy efficiency.
The new particle sieving device is used to vibrate the whole vibrating bed through the vibrator, and the shock absorbing ring keeps the whole vibrating bed stable. The particles with uniform shape will be sieved out by the sieve, and the large particles will be stuck, and then the particles with uniform shape will be released from the outlet. The device can realize sieving out of different sizes of particles with simple structure.
